The Role:

We are currently recruiting for Deputy Team Leader – S&T for our EDFCC project in Ambala.

Key aspects of this role include but are not limited to:

Will assist the Project Director in the following activities related to all S&T work
Maintain liaison with authorities and will be overall responsible for Project Management.
Manage all Project reviews and reports related to S&T work
Drive and make decisions for issues that affect performance at the Project Level:
Decide for resolving key issues within the Project
Ensure that all decisions are executed.
Manage conflicts and obtain results
Provide leadership and manage the Project Team
Establish an effective and efficient Project team
Ensure that ways of working are applied to all Project activities
Monitor implementation of quality system procedures and health and safety plans.
Monitoring progress of various activities towards timely completion of the project.
Take overall responsibility for Project Management Processes
Drive and make decisions for issues that affect performance at the Project Level:
Decide for resolving key issues within the Project
Ensure that all decisions are executed
Manage conflicts and obtain results
Manage at Project level all Project Reviews and Gate Reviews, including organization and reporting
Primary contact with Client and Contractors for Project issues.
Primary contact with the contractor for Project progress and related issues.
Manage the day-to-day relationship with Client
Ensure compliance with the Code of Ethics
Ensure that ways of working are applied to all Project activities
Lead the design Team of PMC for scrutiny and approval of designs submitted by D&B Contractors.
Approve method statements of D&B contractors and set up a reporting system for monitoring the progress of various elements of work.
Conduct comprehensive periodical reviews of the progress of work by D&B contractor and plan remedial measures in case milestones are not likely to be achieved.
Lead the Construction Supervision Team for Electrical works for the freight corridor project.
Close coordination with Deputy Team Leaders of Civil and Electrical, Client managers of S&T works, and Managers of D&B Contractors.
Administrative as well as technical control of Electrical team members. Implementation of provisions mentioned in the Terms of Reference, manuals, and contract and execution of work by D&B contractor in accordance with specifications and timelines laid down in D&B contracts.
Overall control of testing and commissioning of Electrical works Preparation of completion estimate. Supervision during the defect liability

Your profile:

• At least a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and MBA

• A minimum of 15 years experience with more than 10 years of experience in the railway or infrastructure sector. At least 5 years of experience in a similar position in the railway sector with an emphasis in Signal & Telecom systems

• International working experience of 5 years and 2 projects is mandatory
